Bronze Horse Partners is a strategic consulting boutique working for clients on assignments around the world. The company's business was founded in late 2018 by Denis Petkovic, an international projects and finance lawyer. Denis has spent much of the last three decades working from bases in London and Hong Kong in Europe and Asia and in emerging and transitional markets including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and other Eastern European economies.

This period witnessed many of those countries being reshaped, modernised and connected more with the rest of the world as they “cut a door to Europe”. These words are drawn from Pushkin’s classic poem, The Bronze Horseman, which dealt with Peter the Great’s vision for the role of the new city of St Petersburg. That vision is represented by a statue in that city of the Tsar astride his bronze horse trampling the serpent of backwardness and pre-modernisation.

Our name originates from particular friendships and experiences in this era of change in emerging markets and the connection of those countries with people in international cities such as London and Hong Kong.
